Why did the links in my Social block change?

Short answer

Your social icons always show the social links saved in your Brand kit, in every email. Change a link from the icons' panel or the Brand page’s Social links card, and every email follows.

Nothing is lost. In every email you create, the social icons always show the links saved in your Brand kit. An email has no links of its own to keep, so a change anywhere reaches every email, even ones you’ve already designed. The rest of your email is untouched.

For an email that opens in the earlier editor, see the last section.

Select the icons in any email and change a link in the settings panel. Once your Brand kit is saved, the panel says Saved to your Brand kit. See Edit your social links from an email.

Or change them in the Social links card on your Brand page, then select Save kit. See Change or remove a social link.

To leave them out of one email

Select the whole block and turn off Social links under Elements. The icons leave that email alone, and your links stay in your Brand kit.

In an email that opens in the earlier editor

There, a Social links block has rows of its own, and the social links saved on your Brand page replace them.

While the Brand page’s Social links card has any links, every Social links block uses them. When you open the editor, they replace the block’s own rows. The sent email uses the card’s links too.

Change them in the Social links card, not in the block. Edit an address in its row, or select a row’s × to drop it. Select + Add platform to add one. Then select Save kit at the bottom of the page. Every Social links block follows, even in emails you’ve already designed. See Add a social link.

Remove every link in the Social links card and select Save kit. With none saved, each Social links block keeps the rows in its own panel. This clears the links for every email, not just this one. See The Social links block.
