Why does the email editor say it needs a bigger screen?
Short answer
Your window is too narrow for the email you’re editing and the room the editor needs around it, and nothing is lost. Widen the window, turn a tablet sideways, or open Jounce on a desktop, and the editor is where you left it.
The editor shows an email at the width it’s sent, with a little room around it. A narrow window can’t fit both. Your work is saved as you go, so nothing is lost.
The message reads This editor needs a bigger screen. Your work is saved as you go — open Jounce on a desktop to keep editing. It covers the editor while the window is too narrow.
The fix
- On a laptop or desktop, widen the browser window. The message goes away and the editor is exactly where you left it.
- On a tablet, turn it sideways. Landscape is usually wide enough.
- On a phone, open the same email on a computer. Your Emails page, the calendar, the send steps, and your audience all work on a phone. Only the editor needs the width.
A change that was saving when the message appeared is still on its way. See How the editor saves your work.
