Edit your social links from an email

Open Emails

The editor opens from any draft.

Short answer

In any email you create, click the social icons in the Sign-off and edit your links in the settings panel. Jounce saves them to your Brand kit, so every email shows them.

When you’re done, the icons in your email open the profiles you typed. So do the icons in every other email that shows your social links.

This works in the Sign-off and Colored close, the closing blocks of every email you create.

  1. Click the social icons under the closing line. With no links yet, click the dashed spot that reads Your social links instead.
  2. The settings panel shows Social links.
  3. Paste each profile’s full address into its row. The row for Instagram reads Instagram link until you fill it.
  4. To add a network, select + Add platform and pick one. To drop one, select the × at the end of its row.
  5. Stop typing, and Jounce saves. The panel says Saved to your Brand kit.

What to expect next

The icons change in the email right away. There’s no Save kit to press here. A row with no address isn’t saved.

The dashed Your social links spot shows only in the editor. It never goes out in the sent email.

If a save fails, the panel says Your links didn’t save to your Brand kit. They’re still here. Select Try again.

Change the icon size

Icon size, under Appearance in the same panel, sets the icons to S, M, or L. They start at M. It changes this block only, not your other emails. You also see it when the whole block is selected. It shows once you have at least one link, while the icons are switched on.

Leave the icons out of one email

Select the whole block and turn off Social links under Elements. The icons leave this email, and the dashed spot goes too. Your links stay in your Brand kit for every other email. Turn the switch back on to bring the icons back.

Selecting the icons and pressing Delete does the same. Jounce says Hidden — it stays in this block’s Elements list, with a Show button.

If the panel sends you to the Brand kit

Before your Brand kit is saved for the first time, the panel shows one button in place of the rows: Add in Brand kit or Change in Brand kit. Select it, and the Brand page opens over your email. Add your links in the Social links card, select Save kit, then Back to draft.
