Footer, social, and the countdown
The blocks that close an email and the timer that opens one. Social icons, link rows, lines and space, the address and unsubscribe lines Jounce keeps, and a countdown with the true time left.
- Add social icons to your emailAdd a closing layout with icons from the tray’s Footers tile. The icons fill from the social links in your Brand kit; click them to add or change a link.
- Add a countdown timerPick the tray’s Countdowns tile and choose a timer, then set the moment it ends under Ends and Timezone. Each reader sees the true time left when they open the email.
- The Social links blockYour social icons come with the closing layouts under the tray’s Footers tile and show the links saved in your Brand kit. Select them to change a link or set the icons' size.
- The Link bar blockIn every email you create, a row of links comes in a layout: a logo row under Headers, or a closing layout under Footers. Type each link’s words in the email, and put its address in the panel.
- The Divider blockIn every email you create, there’s no Divider block: each layout draws the lines its design calls for. In the earlier editor, a Divider is a line whose panel sets its style, color, thickness, and width.
- The Spacer blockIn every email you create, there’s no Spacer block: each layout carries its own spacing, and Jounce sets the gap between two blocks. In the earlier editor, a Spacer is empty space with a height and an optional background.
- The Countdown blockA countdown is a timer that shows every reader the true time left. Its panel sets when it ends, its label and button words, which parts show, and whether it shows tiles and seconds.
- The address and unsubscribe blocksIn every email you create, your mailing address and Unsubscribe link under the last block aren’t blocks: Jounce writes both lines when it sends. In the earlier editor, two blocks stand in for them, and their panels change only how the lines look in that editor.
- What Jounce adds to the bottom of every emailJounce adds your mailing address and an Unsubscribe link to the end of every email as it sends, so no design can leave them out. A small Jounce credit follows unless you turn it off on the Brand page.
- Add your own words around the unsubscribe linkWith nothing selected in your email, type your words under Unsubscribe line in the settings panel. They go before and after the link, and the link itself always stays.
- How a countdown works in the inboxA countdown goes out as a picture Jounce draws fresh at each open, so it always shows the true time left. A timer that shows seconds ticks for a few seconds, and after the moment passes it shows the date.
- Why did the links in my Social block change?Your social icons always show the social links saved in your Brand kit, in every email. Change a link from the icons' panel or the Brand page’s Social links card, and every email follows.
- Why does my countdown show zeros? Its moment has passed: in every email you create, the timer then shows Ended and the date instead of zeros. Pick a future time under Ends; your email is untouched.
- Why does my countdown show the wrong time? Its Timezone is wrong, or the editor shows the timer as it stood when you opened it or last made a change. Your email is untouched: check Timezone under Ends, then reload the editor.
