Why doesn’t my new email use my brand?
Short answer
Usually your brand isn’t saved yet: set your colors, fonts, and logo on the Brand page and select Save kit. Every email you create wears the saved kit, however you start it.
Your email is fine as it is, and nothing in it is lost.
Most often the brand isn’t saved yet. Select your avatar at the top right, choose All settings, then Brand, and check your colors, fonts, and logo. Then select Save kit at the bottom of the page. Until you do, your changes aren’t kept. See Apply your brand to new emails.
An email you create
It wears your brand kit, whether you start from a template, with AI, or from scratch. So a change you save reaches it while it’s a draft. You can also open the kit from the email: select the space around it, then Brand kit in the settings panel.
Until you save a brand kit, the email wears a draft of your brand, and Jounce can’t send the email. Before you send reads Your brand kit isn’t saved yet. Select it, check the kit, and select Save kit.
If the email has no logo spot, your brand kit left the logo out when the email was made. Once your kit has a logo or shows your brand name, add a header from the Headers tile. Then turn Logo on in the closing layout, under Elements. See Send emails without a logo.
An older email
An older email opens in the earlier editor, the one that shows the email’s name at the top left. Each block takes your brand as you add it. Blocks already in the email keep the look they started with, and blocks you add after saving arrive in your brand.
If you turned off Apply my brand to older emails, saving your kit leaves that choice alone. The switch shows on the Brand page, below the Brand profile card. Turn it on, and it saves at once.
When the brand is saved but a block looks the same
Jounce recolors only a block’s standard parts: buttons, the small labels that sit above headings, and colored bands. Body text, photos, and any color you picked yourself keep their look. A very light or very gray Brand color changes less, because Jounce keeps the text readable first. These blocks take their button color from Brand, never from Button.
When the logo is missing
A logo only fills an empty logo spot, so it appears when you add a block that has one. With Apply my brand to older emails off, the spot stays empty. A logo saved as an SVG file doesn’t go into these emails, because inboxes don’t show it. Upload a PNG or JPG instead.
