Add social icons to your email

Open Emails

The editor opens from any draft.

Short answer

Add a closing layout with icons from the tray’s Footers tile. The icons fill from the social links in your Brand kit; click them to add or change a link.

When you’re done, a row of icons sits in your email, and each one opens one of your profiles.

These steps are for every email you create. For an email that opens in the earlier editor, see the last section.

  1. Point at a block and select the + at its top or bottom edge, then pick the Footers tile.
  2. Choose a card that shows social icons. The icons come filled from the social links in your Brand kit. Until the kit has any, a dashed spot reads Your social links.
  3. To add or change a link, click the icons, or the dashed spot. The panel shows Social links.
  4. Paste each profile’s full address into its row, or select + Add platform to add a network. Jounce saves your links to your Brand kit, so every email shows them. See Edit your social links from an email.

What to expect next

Until your Brand kit is first saved, the panel shows one button instead of the rows: Add in Brand kit or Change in Brand kit. It opens the Brand page over your email.

The dashed Your social links spot shows only in the editor. It never goes out in the sent email.

To leave the icons out of one email, turn off Social links under the block’s Elements. Your links stay in your Brand kit for every other email.

In an email that opens in the earlier editor

There, the Social tile adds a Social links block with rows of its own. If every email links the same profiles, set them once in the Social links card on the Brand page instead. Every Social links block then uses them. See Why did the links in my Social block change?

  1. Hover the line between two blocks and select +. The block tray opens.
  2. Select Social. A row of three icons appears, and the panel reads Block › Social links.
  3. Under Platforms, paste each profile’s address into its row. The row for Instagram reads Instagram link until you fill it.
  4. To add a network, select + Add platform and pick one from the list. Its row appears with an empty address box.
  5. To drop a network, select the × at the end of its row.

The panel for a Social links block with three platform rows under Platforms and the ringed Add platform button open on the list of networks.

An icon with no address is left out of the sent email. Fill every row you keep, or remove the ones you don’t use. Icon color and Icon size are in the same panel. See The Social links block.

Next step

Set the profiles once for every email: Add a social link.
