Why isn’t my page in search results?
Short answer
Jounce asks search engines to leave a workspace’s pages out until Jounce has allowed that workspace. Your page is still public, and anyone with the link can open it.
Jounce asks search engines to leave your pages out, and not to follow the links on them, until it has allowed your workspace. Nothing is wrong with your page. It’s still public: anyone with the link can open it, and a link you share still shows its preview.
Every workspace starts hidden from search engines. That stops people from using Jounce pages to trick search engines, which protects every customer’s address.
Until your workspace is allowed, people reach your page by its link. See Share your page’s link.
Ask Jounce to allow your pages
There is no setting for this in the app. A person at Jounce allows a workspace by hand. To ask, write to hello@jounce.com from the address you sign in with, and name your workspace. See Get help from a person at Jounce.
Once your workspace is allowed, every page at your myjounce.com address is allowed. Search engines notice on their next visit, which can take days or weeks. Jounce can’t make a search engine list a page. Whether it does is up to the search engine.
Your page has the longer address
Until your workspace has a handle, a page lives at a longer address on Jounce’s own site. Jounce asks search engines never to list that address, for any workspace. Claim your address first, then ask. See Claim your handle.
It’s a pop-up or an inline form
A pop-up or an inline form sits inside a page of your own website. Whether search engines list that page is up to your site. Jounce doesn’t change it.
