Duplicate a form
Short answer
Open the three-dot menu on a form’s card and choose Duplicate. The copy is a draft of the same kind, with the same design and segments, and most of its publishing settings start fresh.
When you’re done, a second form with the same design sits on the Forms page, ready to change without touching the original.
- Open Forms and find the form.
- Select the three dots on its card, then Duplicate.
- Jounce says Form duplicated. A card appears, named after the original with “copy” on the end.
If you’re looking at one folder, the copy joins that folder. A copy of a live form is a draft; the original stays live.
What the copy carries
- The design: every block, field and picture, and the thank-you screen.
- The kind: a copy of a full page is another full page, and a copy of a pop-up is another pop-up. Duplicating is the quickest way to a second page. See The four kinds of form.
- The segments its signups join.
- Nothing from publishing: no link, no embed, no views or submissions.
What starts fresh
The choices in the editor’s Settings dialog return to their starting values. Only Where subscribers go and the Link preview line stay as they were.
So opt-in confirmation is on again, and a pop-up waits for the 30% scroll. Email me when someone signs up is on again too, even if you switched it off on the original.
Open Settings in the editor to set them for the copy. See The Settings dialog.
If the copy fails, Jounce says Couldn’t duplicate the form. Try again, and your list is unchanged.
Next step
Give the copy its own name: Rename a form.
