The four kinds of form
Short answer
A form is a pop-up over your site, an inline form inside a page, a full page at a link, or a link-in-bio page. The template you start from decides the kind, and it stays.
A form’s kind says where it lives and how people reach it. Jounce has four:
- Pop-up — shows over your site. You paste a short piece of code into your website, and the form appears on top of the page.
- Inline — embeds inside a page. The same kind of code, but the form sits in the flow of your page, like a signup bar under an article.
- Full page — lives at a link. Jounce hosts the whole page for you. Share the link anywhere; there is nothing to paste into a site.
- Link in bio — lives at a link. A narrow page built for a phone, with a signup and big tappable links, for the one link a social profile allows.
The first two are forms you add to a site you already have. The last two are pages Jounce hosts, so they work with no website at all. A page can also report its visits and signups to your own Meta Pixel or Google Analytics. See Add Meta Pixel or Google Analytics.
Where the kind shows
The template gallery sorts its cards by kind: a button for each one at the top, and under All, a heading over each group. On your Forms page, each card names its form’s kind under the name.
In the editor, the kind sits at the top left, beside Forms, and the Settings dialog states it under its title, such as Full page · lives at a link. The kind is a fact about the form, not a setting; you don’t switch it there.
Choosing a kind
The kind is set the moment you create the form, by the template you start from, and it stays. When you start a form with AI, Jounce picks the kind from your description, so say which kind you want.
To get a form of another kind, start a new one of that kind and copy your words across by hand. The form you have keeps working as it is. The template gallery lists every template with its kind.
Duplicating a form gives you another form of the same kind, so a copy of a full page is another full page. See Duplicate a form.
