Your published form or page
The visitor’s side of a form: how a live page looks on a desktop and a phone, and what happens when someone submits. It also covers the thank-you screen, how a pop-up behaves on your site, the Jounce credit, and how to test it all yourself.
- Your form as a visitor sees itA visitor sees exactly what you designed, with nothing of Jounce around it; on a phone it fits the screen in one column. A full page or link-in-bio page opens at its own address; a pop-up or inline form appears inside your website.
- What happens when someone submitsThe visitor sees your thank-you screen or redirect page, and a new person joins your audience Subscribed, or Unconfirmed when asked to confirm. Someone already on your list keeps the name and details you have for them.
- Change the thank-you screenIn the editor’s top bar, select Thank you to see the screen a visitor gets after they sign up. Select its heading or its line, click again, and type.
- How your pop-up behaves on your siteThe pop-up opens over your page at the moment you chose and closes with its close mark, a click outside it, or the Esc key. Each browser remembers what happened: after a close it waits the days you set, and after a signup it never returns.
- Remove the Jounce creditTurn off Show the Jounce credit in Settings › Brand to drop the small Jounce line from your pages, emails, and the thank-you and unsubscribe pages. A live page drops it the next time you change the page.
- Test your formOpen the live form from Share, fill it in with your own email address, and submit. A test is a real signup: you join your own audience and the counts move, so delete yourself afterwards if you’d rather not stay.
- Why does my form say That didn’t send? The signup didn’t reach Jounce, usually because of the visitor’s connection, and their answers stay in the boxes. A form that isn’t live and an address Jounce won’t take each show their own message.
- Why didn’t a signup show up in my audience? They’re usually there under another status, or they were already a subscriber, so the signup updated them instead of adding a row. Open Audience and search for the address.
