Select what you want to edit
Short answer
Point at the form and a thin outline shows what a click selects. Click once to select it and open its settings, and click selected words again to type.
When you’re done, the thing you want to change is outlined, and its settings are open on the right.
-
Point at the form. A thin outline follows your pointer and marks what a click selects.
-
Click. The outline stays, and the settings panel shows that part’s settings.

-
To change words, click the selected words a second time. The cursor appears where you clicked, and you type.
-
Press Esc to step back out, one level at a time: out of typing, then from the part to what holds it, then to nothing.
The panel’s heading
The heading says what’s selected. A part shows what holds it first, then a ›, then its own name.
- On a pop-up it reads Form › Heading. A pop-up is one design, so the step up from any part is the whole form.
- On an inline form, a full page or a link-in-bio page, it reads Block › Heading.
Select the word before the › to step up. It does the same as Esc.
A whole block, or the whole form
An inline form, a full page and a link-in-bio page are each a stack of blocks. To select a whole block, select a part of it and press Esc, or click the block’s empty space. The outline runs around the block, its tools stand beside it, and the heading reads Block.
On a pop-up, click the card’s own space, away from its words. The outline runs around the card, and under Form the panel reads The whole form is selected.
With nothing selected, the heading reads Form and the panel shows the form’s own settings. See The form editor.
Next step
With it selected, see Edit the words, images, and buttons, or change which parts show in Hide or show an element.
