Why does the editor say it needs a bigger screen?

Short answer

Your window is too narrow to show the form at its real size. Your work is saved: widen the window or open Jounce on a desktop, and the editor is where you left it.

The editor shows your form at the width it goes live at, and a phone’s screen can’t fit that.

Rather than show a form you can’t reach the edges of, Jounce covers the editor with one message. It reads This editor needs a bigger screen. and Your work is saved as you go — open Jounce on a desktop to keep editing.

Nothing is lost. Every edit you made before the window narrowed is saved. The email editor has its own message for a narrow window. See Why does the email editor say it needs a bigger screen?

What to do

  • On a laptop or desktop, widen the browser window. The editor appears as soon as there is room, with your form where you left it.
  • On a phone, open the same form on a laptop or desktop.

To see how the form looks on a phone, select Phone in the editor’s top bar instead. See See your form on a phone.
