See your form and its thank-you screen
Short answer
Select Thank you in the editor’s top bar to see and edit the screen a visitor gets after they sign up. Select Form to go back; the editor opens on Form each time.
When you’re done, you’ve seen both screens a visitor meets: your form, and the thank-you screen they get after they sign up.
- Open the form from Forms. The top bar shows Form and Thank you, with Form selected.
- Select Thank you. The form gives way to the screen a visitor sees after they sign up.
- Select Form to go back. The editor opens on Form each time.
Editing on either screen
You select and type the same way on both. On Thank you, select its heading or its line, then click it again to type. See Change the thank-you screen.
The line Jounce adds
A form can ask people to confirm their subscription. While it does, the thank-you screen ends with one more line. It reads One more step — check your inbox and click the confirmation link. Already subscribed? You’re all set.
Everyone who signs up sees the same line. The second sentence is for someone who’s already Subscribed: Jounce doesn’t send them a confirmation email.
Jounce adds that line, so you can’t select it. Whether the form asks is a choice in Settings; see Ask people to confirm their subscription.
Errors and the spinner
Some moments show only on your live form, not in the editor. A required field a visitor leaves empty gets a line under it: This field is required. An email address that isn’t finished gets Check the email address — it doesn’t look complete. While a signup is on its way, the button shows a spinner.
Jounce writes those lines and picks their color to read on your form, so there’s nothing in them to change. To see them, try your live form; see Test your form.
Next step
Check both screens at a phone’s width in See your form on a phone, then try a real signup in Test your form.
