Why does it say my changes didn’t save?
Short answer
Your automation is safe as it was last saved, and the message Jounce showed says what happened. If it says Jounce couldn’t save your last change, copy any words you typed, refresh the page, and redo the change.
Jounce couldn’t save your last change, so it’s only on your screen. Your automation is safe as it was last saved. The message Jounce showed says which of three things happened.
Jounce couldn’t save your last change, but it’s still on your screen. Copy any new words, then refresh the page.
A label also appears at the bottom right of the canvas and reads Couldn’t save. It tracks the steps and the automation’s name, plus the Sender name, Subject, and Preview text rows in a step’s panel.
Jounce turned the change down, or this browser couldn’t store it. Going offline doesn’t cause this message: your changes wait on this computer instead. See Saving and undo in the builder.
- Copy any words you typed in a step’s panel or the name and want to keep. Refreshing loses the change.
- Refresh the page, and confirm when your browser asks. The automation opens as it was last saved.
- Redo what’s missing. Paste your words back, and make any other change again.
If the same change still won’t save after a refresh, tell us. See Get help from a person at Jounce.
Note If the label goes away before you refresh, there’s nothing to fix. Jounce saves every step and the whole name each time, and it tries a failed row change again with your next one. Either way, the change that failed is saved too.
That edit didn’t save — only an admin or manager can change a live automation’s steps. The automation keeps running exactly as it is.
The automation is live and your role is Editor. See Why can’t I change the steps of my automation?
That didn’t save — your account isn’t allowed to make that change here anymore. Nothing changed; refresh to see what you can do.
Your access to this workspace changed while the page was open. Refresh the page to see what you can still do.
