Rename an automation

Short answer

Open the automation and type a new name in the field at the top. It saves as you type; there is no rename row in the card’s menu.

When you’re done, the new name shows on the card, in the list, and on the insights page.

  1. Open Automations and select the automation’s card. Its steps open.

  2. Select the name at the top, beside Automations. A new automation reads Untitled there.

The top bar of an open automation, with the name field ringed beside Automations, then Undo, Redo, the Live label, and the Pause button.

  3. Type the new name. It saves on its own as you type.

  4. Select Automations at the top left to return to the list.

You can change the name in any status, even while the automation is live. Anyone in the workspace can rename it. Renaming doesn’t touch the steps or the people inside.

The card’s menu has no rename row. See The Automations page.
