Insights
An automation’s insights page: who entered, who is in it, who finished, how every email did, and what the numbers mean.
- Open an automation’s insightsOn the Automations page, open the three dots on the automation’s card and choose View insights. The same page opens from a row on the Automations tab in Analytics.
- The insights pageOne automation’s results: its name and status, then six cards for entered, in it now, finished, emails sent, open rate, and click rate. A line for bounces, complaints, and unsubscribes, any notes, a table of every email step, and two breakdowns follow.
- How Jounce counts an automation’s numbersEach person counts once in Entered and ends up in it now, finished, left, or stopped. Opens and clicks count once per person per email, rates are shares of emails sent, and every number is all time.
- The Performance by step tableOne row per email step, in the order people meet them, with the subject, the number sent, and the open, click, and unsubscribe rates. A step you removed keeps its row, marked No longer in this automation.
- Why do my automation’s numbers show a dash?A dash means there is no real number to show yet, and your automation keeps running either way. The usual reason is a step that hasn’t sent, or an automation that sent before Jounce counted its sends.
- Why doesn’t Finished match Entered? Some people are still inside, some left, and some stopped partway. In it now, the people who left, and Stopped partway make up the difference, and nobody is missing.
- Why can’t I see insights for an automation? The page shows one message instead of numbers when the automation hasn’t launched, nobody has entered it, it was deleted, or the numbers couldn’t load. Each message says which, and the automation is untouched.
