Why doesn’t my automation show how many people are in it?

Short answer

A draft has never run, so there is nobody to count. On a live or paused automation, a dash means the count couldn’t load; refresh the page to ask again.

It’s usually a draft. A draft has never been launched, so nobody has ever entered it. The list’s In it now column shows a dash rather than a zero. Launch the automation and the count starts.

On a Live or Paused automation, the number comes from Jounce’s own count of who is inside right now. A dash there means that count couldn’t load. Jounce shows a dash instead of a number it isn’t sure of. Refresh the page to ask again.

On the cards, the in it now line only appears while someone is inside the automation. A card with no line means nobody is in it at the moment, or the count couldn’t load. Switch to the list: its column shows a number or a dash for every automation. See Switch between cards and a list.

Automation statuses explains what the number means and who it counts.
