Why isn’t my automation’s email on the Emails page?
Short answer
An email made for a step belongs to that automation, so it never appears on the Emails page, in the calendar, or in a folder. Open the automation and select the step to find it.
Nothing is lost. An automation’s emails live inside it. Your Emails page, the calendar, and your folders show only the emails you send yourself.
Where it is
- Open Automations and select the automation.
- Select the Send email card. Its panel shows the email’s picture and name.
- Select the picture to open it in the editor. See Edit an automation’s email.
How it got there
Create a new email in a step makes the email inside the automation. Duplicate an existing email copies one of yours into it. The original stays on your Emails page as it was, and the two are separate from then on.
Each copy belongs to one step of one automation. A step in another automation can’t pick it. Duplicating the automation copies its emails again. See Duplicate an automation.
Remove the email from its step with the × at the picture’s corner. In a draft, the copy goes with it. In a live or paused automation, the copy stays, since anyone already inside still gets it. Either way, Undo in the message puts it back for a moment. See The Send email step.
