Why does it say Shared inbox?

Short answer

The part before the @ is a word teams use for a shared mailbox, such as info@ or sales@. Jounce still sends to the address, and the Email address filter can find shared inboxes or leave them out.

The part before the @ is a word teams use for a mailbox they share, such as info@, sales@, support@, or hello@. The label changes nothing about sending. If it’s Subscribed, Jounce sends it your emails like any other address.

Where it shows

On the Subscribers page, the label sits beside the address. On the person’s own page, it sits just before Change. Jounce reads it from the address itself, so you can’t turn it off. It goes by the word alone, so a one-person business on hello@ gets it too. So does an address like sales+leads@.

How it got on your list

A CSV import sets shared inboxes aside; see Why were some rows rejected? The other ways in accept them, such as a signup form or Add manually.

Leave them out of an email

Filter your list with Email address set to Is a shared inbox, then select Save as segment above the list. When you send, exclude that segment. Save a filter as a segment and Exclude people or segments walk through each part. The segment holds who matched when you saved it, so save to it again before a later send.

In an automation, a Condition step that asks Is a shared inbox sends them down Yes and everyone else down No.
