Subscribers
The list itself, what each status means, and what you can do to one person or many at once.
- The Subscribers pageOpen Audience to see everyone on your list, one per row, with a status label, the date added, and their segments. Search, the Status and Segment menus, and Add subscriber sit above the list.
- Subscriber statusesEvery subscriber has one of five statuses, and Jounce sends only to people marked Subscribed. The other four each mean something specific happened.
- Where a subscriber came fromEvery subscriber’s page records how they joined: Added manually, CSV import, Signup form, or API. Open their page and look under Details.
- Where a subscriber’s location comes fromJounce estimates each person’s region, country, and time zone from their internet connection and shows them on their page. The region and time zone are a best guess; Clear location removes a wrong estimate for good.
- Add a subscriber by handOpen Audience, select Add subscriber, then Add manually. Type their name and email, and select Create subscriber.
- Select several subscribersTick the box at the start of each row. A toolbar above the list then shows everything you can do to the people you picked.
- Delete subscribersChoose Delete subscriber from the menu at the end of a person’s row, or tick several people and select Delete subscribers. They leave your list and stop getting your emails.
- Resend a confirmation emailChoose Resend confirmation from the menu at the end of an Unconfirmed person’s row, or beside the status label on their page. Jounce emails them the confirmation link again.
- Export subscribersTick the people you want, select Export in the toolbar, then Export in the dialog. Jounce downloads Subscribers.csv with their name, email, segments, consent date and method, and their location and time zone.
- Why is my subscriber count lower than my total? The number under the title counts the people Jounce can send to, those marked Subscribed. The total beside it counts everyone, including Unconfirmed, Unsubscribed, Bounced, and Complained.
- Why can’t I delete a subscriber? If Delete subscriber is missing, your role in this workspace is Editor. Editors can add, edit, segment, and export subscribers, but only Managers and Admins can delete one, erase their data, or resend a confirmation.
- Why does it say Shared inbox? The part before the @ is a word teams use for a shared mailbox, such as info@ or sales@. Jounce still sends to the address, and the Email address filter can find shared inboxes or leave them out.
