Filters
Ask your list a narrower question than the two menus can — who opened lately, who never clicked, who joined from a form — and keep the answer as a segment.
- Filter your subscribersSelect Filter above the list, or More filters under Filters in a narrow window. Pick a preset or add your own filters, then choose Apply, and the list shows only the people who match.
- Save a filter as a segmentWith a filter on, select Save as segment above the list. Type a segment name or pick one you have, then choose the Add button, and everyone who matches joins it.
- The filter builderThe Filter subscribers dialog has three presets, a live count of who matches, one or more filter groups, and Apply.
- The filter typesAdd filter offers twelve filters. Five are about opens and clicks, and the rest cover status, segments, signup date, signup source, location, email address, and any data field of your own.
- How filters combineInside a group, all means every row must be true and any means at least one. Between groups, And needs every group and Or needs at least one.
- The engagement presetsThree ready-made filters that start from Subscribed. Most engaged clicked in the last 30 days, Engaged were active in the last 90, and Gone quiet showed no activity in 90 or more.
- How Jounce measures activityA person’s last activity is the most recent of their last open, their last click, and the day they joined. Opens include some a mail app made for them; clicks are the surer sign.
- Why does no one match my filter?Usually one row is stricter than you meant, or the filter asks about opens and clicks your list hasn’t had yet. Your list is untouched; loosen a row or clear the filter.
