Segments
Saved groups of subscribers, named and colored by you. Make them, fill them, and keep them tidy.
- What a segment isA segment is a saved group of subscribers you name, like Newsletter or Wholesale, and a person can be in as many as you like. Send to it, leave it out of an email, or start an automation when someone joins it.
- The Segments pageOpen Audience and select the Segments tab to see each segment as a card with its count. Create segment sits at the top, and the three dots on a card rename, recolor, or delete it.
- Create a segmentOn the Segments tab, select Create segment, type a name, and select Create segment again. The segment appears at the end of your cards, empty and ready for people.
- Add subscribers to a segmentOn the Subscribers page, open the menu at the end of a person’s row and choose Add to segment. Pick the segments and select Add to segment; for several people, tick their rows and use the toolbar.
- Remove subscribers from a segmentOn the Subscribers page, open the menu at the end of a person’s row and choose Remove from segment. Select the ✕ on each segment they should leave, then select Remove from 1 segment; they stay on your list.
- Rename or recolor a segmentOn the Segments tab, select the three dots on a card. Choose Rename to change the name, or pick a color to change the card and the segment’s labels at once.
- Delete a segmentOn the Segments tab, select the three dots on the card, choose Delete segment, and confirm. The segment goes, every subscriber stays on your list, and only Managers and Admins can do it.
- Why does my segment show fewer people than I added?A segment’s card counts only the people in it marked Subscribed, because they’re the ones Jounce can send to. People marked Unconfirmed, Unsubscribed, Bounced, or Complained are still in the segment, just not counted.
- Why can’t I delete a segment?Your role in this workspace is Editor, and only Managers and Admins can delete a segment. Editors can still create, rename, and recolor segments, and move people in and out of them.
