Send your first email

Short answer

Verify your email, add your mailing address, add a few subscribers, make an email from a template, send yourself a test, then send it. Twenty minutes, start to Sent.

When you’re done, the email sits on your Emails page with a Sent status, and its results fill in as people open it.

Before you start

If you set up Jounce when you signed up, your brand is saved, and every email you make starts in it. Jounce asks for two more things before you send your first email. Each takes a minute.

  1. Verify your email address. Jounce asks for it as you sign up, so it’s usually done already.
  2. Add your mailing address. It appears in the footer of every email, and the Review step asks for it if it’s missing.

The path

  1. Add your first subscribers. A few people by hand, or a whole list from a CSV file.
  2. Create an email from a template. Pick one of the designed emails and make it yours. Setup’s Make your first email starts one with AI instead: describe it, and Jounce drafts it in your brand.
  3. Send a test email. See it in your own inbox before anyone else does.
  4. Send or schedule your email. Three steps: who gets it, the subject line, and a review.

Note Jounce warms up a new workspace’s list, so at first it emails only so many people a day. If your audience is bigger, the Recipients step says so and offers Request an earlier increase.

What to expect next

After you send, Jounce shows Sent and notes that first opens usually land within the hour. Back on your Emails page, the email’s card carries its status.

Next step

Once it says Sent, opens and clicks show up in Open an email’s results.
