Take a tour
Short answer
Open Help with the question mark at the top right, choose Take a tour, and pick one. Jounce opens the page where it starts and points at one thing at a time.
When you’re done, you’ve walked through one job in Jounce, one step at a time, on your own work.
- Select the question mark at the top right. The Help panel opens.
- Choose Take a tour. A short list of tours opens beside it.
- Pick a tour. Help closes, and Jounce opens the page where the tour starts.
- Read the bubble and do what it says. The next bubble appears.
- Where a bubble offers Next, select it to move on without doing the step.
- On the last bubble, select Done.
Each bubble points at one control, says one sentence, and counts the steps, such as 2 of 5. While a pop-up or a menu is open, the bubble steps aside, then comes back.
The five tours
| Tour | Where it starts | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Your first email | Start with AI | Describing an email, changing it, Jounce AI, a test, and Continue |
| A sign-up form | The form templates | Picking a design, changing it, and Share |
| Look around | The page you’re on | The five areas in the top bar |
| Bringing in a list | The import screen | Dropping in a CSV file, checking its columns, and the permission tick |
| Reading results | Your newest sent email’s results | Open rate, click rate, bounces, unsubscribes, and spam complaints |
Reading results stays greyed and says Send an email first until an email you sent has results.
A tour that starts by itself
On a new account, a tour can start by itself the first time you open the page it begins on, such as Start with AI for your first email.
It waits while a notice about your plan or your sending is showing, and it doesn’t start in a window narrower than a tablet. Once you finish a tour or skip it, it doesn’t start by itself again. Look around starts only when you pick it.
Stop a tour
Select Skip tour on any bubble, or press Escape while you’re in the bubble. Anything you made along the way stays. Go off to other work, and the tour ends by itself. To take it again, pick it in Help.
If a tour can’t start
Jounce says That tour couldn’t start here. Try it again from Help. On a phone or in a narrow window, Take a tour isn’t in Help, because tours don’t run there.
From setup
The doors at the end of setup start a tour too, on a computer. Make your first email, Make a sign-up form, and Look around first each start the tour for that job. See Set up Jounce the first time you sign in.
