The top bar
Short answer
The bar across the top holds the Jounce logo, the five areas from Emails to Analytics, the bell, the help button, and your avatar. On a phone, the areas sit behind the Menu button at the right edge.
The bar stays at the top while you scroll, and the area you’re in is underlined. On a phone, the five areas sit behind a Menu button instead. Pages that fill the whole window, like the editors and the send steps, have their own toolbar instead.

The logo
The Jounce logo at the left takes you to your Emails page from anywhere.
The five areas
| Area | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Emails | Every email you’ve made, each with its status, and a Calendar tab of sent and scheduled emails by date. |
| Forms | Your signup forms and bio pages. |
| Automations | Email sequences that run on their own once you set them up. |
| Audience | Your Subscribers, and a Segments tab for saved groups of them. |
| Analytics | How your subscribers, emails, forms, and automations are performing, over a time range you pick. |
On a phone
On a phone, or in a narrow window, the five areas leave the bar. Select the Menu button (three lines) at the right edge, after your avatar.
The five areas open in a list that fills the screen under the bar, with the area you’re in highlighted. Choose one to go there; the list closes on its own. To close it without choosing, press Escape or select the same button. It shows a × while the list is open.

Tabs under an area
Some areas have a second row of tabs under the bar. Emails has Emails and Calendar. Audience has Subscribers and Segments. Analytics has Subscribers, Emails, Forms, and Automations. The tab you’re on is underlined too.
The one button on each page
At the right of a page’s heading sits its one button: Create email, Create form, Create automation, or Add subscriber. On a phone, it sits under the heading and reads Create, or Add on Subscribers. On a page with nothing in it yet, the same button sits in the middle of the page.
The Segments tab has Create segment there, on a phone too. Analytics has no such button, and its time range menu sits there instead.
The controls beside it search, sort, and filter the list. See Search, sort, and filter a list.
Notifications
The bell just left of the question mark is Notifications. It lists what needs you, such as an email that wasn’t sent, and the news of your workspace’s own work. A small dot on it means something needs you that you haven’t seen. On a phone, the bell sits before the help button. See Notifications.
The help button
The question mark just left of your avatar is Help. It opens a small panel: search this help center, chat with Jo, browse the articles for this page, or take a tour. See The help button.
Your avatar
Your photo or initials sits at the right, with a small arrow at its corner. On a phone, it sits between the help button and the Menu button. Select it to open the account menu: your workspace, settings, theme, and sign out. See The account menu.
