Accept an invite

When you’re done, you’re in the workspace that invited you, with the role they gave you. Anything you already had in Jounce stays yours.

1. Open the email with the subject ⟨Name⟩ invited you to ⟨Workspace⟩ and select Join workspace. A page opens that says Join ⟨Workspace⟩ and names who invited you and as what.
2. If you’re not signed in, select Sign in to accept. Sign in with the address the email came to, or create a login with it. Jounce brings you back to this page. A new login with a password verifies its email first.
3. Select Join workspace. Jounce says Welcome to ⟨Workspace⟩.
4. Select Open it. A short welcome asks your first name if Jounce doesn’t know it yet, then what to do first. See Your first minutes in a workspace you joined.

If Jounce asks you to verify your email

A login with a password needs a verified email address to join. If yours isn’t verified yet, Join workspace opens a window that says Verify your email to join. You haven’t joined yet, and the invite still works.

1. Open the link Jounce emailed you, and select Verify email if the page asks.
2. Come back to the invite and select I’ve verified. Jounce says Email verified., and the window closes.
3. Select Join workspace again. Jounce says Welcome to ⟨Workspace⟩.

Didn’t get it? Resend in the window sends a fresh link. A Google sign-in is verified already, so it never sees this window. If the email still doesn’t arrive, see Verify your email address.

If you’re creating a login

Use the same email address the invite went to. Jounce doesn’t set up a workspace of your own along the way; it takes you back to the invite so you can join. See Create your Jounce account.

If you’re signed in as someone else

The page says This invite is for another address and shows who you’re signed in as. Select Sign out, sign in with the right address, and you’re back on the invite.

After you join

The workspace becomes the one you’re working in. If you belong to more than one, switch between them from the account menu. Your role decides what you can do there; see Workspace roles.

Opening the same link again later says You’re already in ⟨Workspace⟩ and offers to open it.
