Resend or revoke an invite

Short answer

On the Members page, find the person under Pending invites. Resend sends a fresh link, Revoke kills the link, and Copy link hands it over yourself.

When you’re done, the person has a fresh link, or their old link no longer works. Resending and revoking are one button each on the Members page. You need to be an admin.

Resend an invite

Use this when the link expired, or the email never arrived.

  1. Select your avatar, choose All settings, then Members.
  2. Under Pending invites, find the person’s row.
  3. Select Resend. Jounce says Invite resent to ⟨address⟩, and the row shows a fresh expiry date.

The old link stops working as soon as you resend. If they open it, it says That invite was revoked, so tell them to use the newest email.

If it still doesn’t arrive, see Why didn’t they get my invite email?

If Jounce can’t email the address, or you’d rather send it in a chat:

  1. On the person’s row, select Copy link. The button reads Copied.
  2. Paste it wherever you talk to them.

The link works only for the address you invited; nobody else can join with it. See How invites work.

Revoke an invite

Use this when you invited the wrong address, or changed your mind.

  1. On the person’s row, select Revoke.
  2. Jounce says The invite to ⟨address⟩ was revoked. The row leaves the list, and the link stops working.

Picked the wrong row? Select Undo in the message. Jounce sends a fresh invite to the same address with the same role. The Undo leaves after a few seconds, or as soon as you switch workspaces.

Wrong address

Revoke the invite, then send a fresh one to the right address. See Invite someone to your workspace.

Next step

Pass along Accept an invite so the person knows what to do with the fresh link.
