Why does it say Nothing at this address?

Short answer

The address in your browser doesn’t match any page in Jounce, usually a typo or a link that was cut short. Nothing happened to your work; select Back to Jounce and reach the page from the top bar.

Jounce shows a large 404 and Nothing at this address when the address in your browser doesn’t match any page. Usually it’s the address that’s wrong, not the thing you were looking for.

Why it happens

  • A typo. One wrong character in the address bar lands here. Capital letters count: /Emails is not /emails.
  • A link that was cut short. A link copied from a note or a message can lose its tail, and the rest points nowhere.

If you can’t open a subscriber’s page, that’s a different case with its own article; see Why does it say this subscriber isn’t here?.

What to do

Select Back to Jounce. Signed in, it opens your Emails page; signed out, the sign-in page. From there, reach the page through the five areas at the top; see The top bar. To find one email, form, or person, search by name instead of retyping the address. See Search, sort, and filter a list.
