Why does the link in my email say it expired?

Short answer

Each link works once and for a limited time. The page that says so has a button for a fresh one, and your account is fine.

The verification and password reset links Jounce emails you each work once, and only for a while. An old email, or a link you’ve already used, lands on That link has expired. Nothing about your account changed. Get a fresh link and use that one.

  • Signed in: select Email me a new link. The page says Check your inbox and names the address it went to.
  • Signed out: the page says Your account’s fine. Sign in to send a new link. Select Sign in. If your email still needs verifying, Jounce opens Check your email, where Send it again sends a fresh link.
  • Already used it? A link stops working once it has verified you. Your email is verified, so there’s nothing more to do. If you’re signed in, the page says Email verified. instead.

See Verify your email address.

Select Send a new reset link. That takes you back to the Reset your password page, where you enter your email again. See Reset your password.

A workspace invite has its own page and its own reasons. It lasts seven days, and the page says That invite expired or That invite was already used. See Why doesn’t my invite link work?

Jounce couldn’t look at your verification link, usually because your connection dropped. The link is fine, so you don’t need a fresh one. The page says Your link still works. Try again in a moment. Select Try again.

The link arrived incomplete. Some mail apps cut a long link in two. Every Jounce email prints the full link under the button, in small text. Copy the whole link into your browser’s address bar. If that fails, select Go to Jounce and start again.
