Which numbers follow the time range

Short answer

A number follows the time range only when it counts something that happened on a date. A card that stayed the same describes your list or an automation as it stands, so it reads the same in every range.

A card that didn’t move when you changed the range is working as designed. The time range is a window over dates. A count of things that happened, like signups or sends, fits in a window. A count of how things stand, like the size of your list, doesn’t.

Jounce labels each card so you can tell which is which. A card that follows the range names it, as in 30 days or vs prior 7 days. A card that ignores it reads all time or of your list.

Subscribers

Follows the range Reads the same in every range
New subscribers, its change against the prior range, and the chart Total subscribers, Sendable, Unsubscribed, Subscribers by source, Subscribers by status, and Subscribers by location

The list-wide numbers describe your whole list as it stands. Total subscribers reads everyone on your list, and Sendable and Unsubscribed read of your list. Only New subscribers names the range, as vs prior 30 days: it compares the range with the same length of time before it.

Subscribers by location reads the same in every range too. It counts the people you can email, by country, as they stand.

Emails

Everything on the tab comes from emails whose send finished inside the range: the four cards, the bounces and complaints line, the chart, the two breakdowns, and Recent sends. Change the range and a send drops out or comes in with its whole story.

An A/B test goes by the day its test went out, and the winner’s send counts with it. See What the Emails tab counts.

Forms

Follows the range Reads the same in every range
Submissions, Form views, Conversion rate, the chart, and the table’s three number columns Published forms

The table under Your forms counts each form’s views and submissions inside the range. The Forms page counts them over all time, so the two can differ. See Why doesn’t the Forms tab match my Forms page?

Automations

Follows the range Reads the same in every range
Entered, on the card and in the table Emails sent, Open rate, Click rate, In automations now, the bounces line, and the table’s In it now, Sent, Open, and Click

An automation runs for as long as it is live, so Jounce keeps its sends, opens, and clicks as one running total. Only who entered has a date. The table says so in its note, Ranked by emails sent, all time. An automation’s own insights page has no range at all. See How Jounce counts an automation’s numbers.
