Why does it say Your sending is at risk?
Short answer
Too many of your recent emails bounced or were marked as spam, but your emails still go out. Clean up your audience before your next send; the banner clears on its own, and if things get worse, Jounce pauses sending.
Nothing has stopped. The amber banner is a warning: too many of your recent emails bounced or got marked as spam. If it gets worse, Jounce pauses sending. Your scheduled emails and automations carry on.

Where it comes from
Bounces are addresses that don’t exist any more, or never did. Think of an old list, an import with typos, or a form that lets anyone type anything. Spam complaints come from people who didn’t expect your email. Maybe they never joined the list, or don’t recognize the sender name. Sending warnings and pauses says how Jounce counts both.
When you haven’t sent much, it doesn’t take many. One spam complaint on its own never brings up the banner, but very few are enough. From there, one more can pause sending.
What to do
- Select Review your audience on the banner. The Audience page opens.
- Open the Status menu above the list (on a phone, it’s under Filters) and pick Bounced. The list shows the addresses that bounced. Pick Complained to see the spam complaints.
- Open a few of them and look under Details for where they came from. See Where a subscriber came from.
- Stop the source. Don’t import that file again, and turn on confirmation for a form that brings in bad addresses. See How double opt-in works.
- Send your next email only to people who asked for it. Jounce already skips the bounced and complained addresses, so you don’t have to remove them.
What clears it
The banner leaves on its own once the bounces and spam complaints fall back under the level that set off the warning. That happens as clean sends go out and older ones stop counting. When you haven’t sent much, that can take a few weeks.
Jounce re-checks on its own schedule, so the banner can lag by some hours.
If it gets worse instead, the banner turns red and sending pauses. See Why is my sending paused?
