Your own sending domain
Send from hello@ at your own domain: add it, add three records where you manage the domain, and let Jounce confirm them. What each status means, and what to do when one sticks.
- Send from your own domainOn the Sending page, type your domain in the Your own sending domain card and select Authenticate domain. Add the three records it shows where you manage your domain, then select Verify.
- The records Jounce asks you to addTwo CNAMEs to copy, DKIM and SPF, plus a DMARC TXT only if your domain has none yet; if it has one, keep yours. Each has a Type, a Name, and a Value; at Cloudflare, add each CNAME with the proxy off.
- Sending domain statusesThe Your own sending domain card shows one of four badges: Pending, Still checking, Not authenticated, or Authenticated. Only Authenticated changes where your emails come from.
- Remove your sending domainOn the Sending page, select Remove domain in the Your own sending domain card, then Remove domain in the dialog. Your emails go back to being sent through Jounce.
- Why is my domain still Pending?Your provider hasn’t published the records where Jounce can see them yet, or one of them isn’t quite right. Jounce keeps checking on its own, and Verify checks right away.
- Why does my domain say Not authenticated?Jounce looked for your records for a while and never found them, so it stopped checking on its own. Your domain is still saved: fix the records and select Verify.
- Why did my emails go back to Sent via Jounce?Jounce checks an authenticated domain from time to time. If its records disappear or the domain lapses, the badge turns to Not authenticated, and your emails keep going out through Jounce instead.
- Why won’t Jounce accept my domain?Check what you typed: use a domain like yourbrand.com, or a subdomain like news.yourbrand.com. If another Jounce workspace has the domain, remove it there first.
