Sending paused or at risk
What the amber and red banners at the top of the app mean, what Jounce counts, what a pause holds, and how to get sending again.
- Sending warnings and pausesWhen too many of your recent emails bounce or are marked as spam, Jounce warns you with a banner. If it gets worse, Jounce pauses sending, and only a person at Jounce can resume it.
- The sending bannerAn amber strip at the top means your sending is at risk; red means Jounce paused it, usually for bounces or spam complaints. Its link reads Review your audience, or Get help when a person at Jounce paused it or the pause carried over from another workspace.
- The Sending is paused emailWhen Jounce pauses sending for bounces or spam complaints, or a person at Jounce pauses it, one email goes to the workspace owner’s sign-in address. It says why, what went out, and what to do next; a pause carried over from another workspace sends no email.
- What a pause holds and what keeps workingA pause holds campaign sends, an A/B test’s send to the rest of your list, and automation emails until sending resumes, but an email it stops mid-send doesn’t finish. Test sends, confirmation emails, forms, imports, and editing keep working.
- Why does it say Your sending is at risk?Too many of your recent emails bounced or were marked as spam, but your emails still go out. Clean up your audience before your next send; the banner clears on its own, and if things get worse, Jounce pauses sending.
- Why is my sending paused?Usually too many recent emails bounced or were marked as spam, so Jounce paused sending to protect where your mail lands; a person at Jounce can also pause it, or a pause can carry over from another workspace. Everything already sent went out, your audience and drafts are untouched, and sends wait until a person at Jounce resumes them.
- Get sending again after a pauseIf bounces or spam complaints caused the pause, stop their source first; then, whatever the cause, write to hello@jounce.com from the workspace owner’s sign-in address. A person at Jounce checks what you did and writes back; once sending resumes, scheduled emails more than a day late wait for your OK.
