The Sending is paused email
Short answer
When Jounce pauses sending for bounces or spam complaints, or a person at Jounce pauses it, one email goes to the workspace owner’s sign-in address. It says why, what went out, and what to do next; a pause carried over from another workspace sends no email.
The email comes from Jounce at no-reply@jounce.com, with the subject Sending is paused on your workspace. It goes to the workspace owner’s sign-in address, once per pause. Nobody else gets it. Everyone else finds out from the banner.
What it says
The heading is Sending is paused. Under it are three short lines: why sending stopped, what is safe, and the one thing to do next. The middle line is the same, whatever caused the pause.
- Anything you already sent went out. Your audience and drafts are untouched.
The other two lines and the button under them change with the reason. The small line at the bottom reads You’re getting this because you own this Jounce workspace. It’s a one-time notice about your workspace, not marketing, so it carries no unsubscribe link.
When bounces and spam complaints caused it
- Too many recent emails bounced or were marked as spam, so Jounce paused sending to protect where your mail lands.
- Clean up your audience, then write to hello@jounce.com to get sending again.
A Review your audience button opens the Audience page in Jounce. These are the same words as the red banner in the app. Cleaning up means stopping where the addresses behind the pause came from. Deleting them is up to you, since Jounce already skips them. Get sending again after a pause has the steps.
When a person at Jounce paused it by hand
- Someone at Jounce paused sending on this workspace.
- Write to hello@jounce.com and ask why.
A Get help button opens Why is my sending paused?. Your audience didn’t stop the send, so this version asks for no clean-up.
If it never arrived
Check the spam folder first. Jounce also skips the email if the owner’s own address bounced, or the owner marked an earlier email as spam. That’s because a bounced address would bounce again, and a spam complaint asks Jounce to stop.
A workspace that started paused gets no email at all. That happens when the person who created it already had sending paused somewhere else. For that new workspace, the banner is the whole story.
The banner shows either way. To ask Jounce about the pause, reply to the email. Your reply goes to hello@jounce.com, where a person at Jounce reads it.
