Which integration do you need?

Short answer

An AI tool answers questions about your numbers, and Zapier moves subscribers to and from other apps without code. The developer API is for code you write yourself.

Each card on the Integrations page answers a different question. Start from what you want to happen.

Use What it does
Claude, ChatGPT & Gemini Ask about your numbers in the AI tool. You paste one link, and it reads your email, subscriber, form, and automation numbers. It can’t send, edit, or delete anything.
Developer API Write your own code against your audience. Your code reads and updates subscribers, segments, and custom fields, and hears about changes through webhooks. You create a key in Jounce and read the docs from the same page. For a developer.
Zapier Move subscribers between Jounce and another app, no code. A Zap adds someone to Jounce when something happens in the other app. Or it tells that app when someone joins, unsubscribes, or lands in a segment. You build it on Zapier’s side and approve the connection in Jounce once.

A sign-up form on your own website is not an integration. Every form has a Share dialog with the code to paste; see Add a pop-up or inline form to your website. If an AI site builder runs your site, see Install your form with an AI site builder.

What connecting means

An app that wants to reach your workspace asks once, on a screen titled ⟨app⟩ wants to connect to Jounce. The screen lists exactly what the app will be allowed to see or change, and a line under the list says what it can’t do.

You select the Allow button — Allow full access for an app like Zapier, Allow read-only access for an AI tool — or Not now. Nothing connects until you allow it.

A connected app shows up on the Integrations page under Connected apps, and an AI tool under Connected AI tools on its own page. Either can be disconnected there at any time, and the app is cut off right away. Connecting and disconnecting is an Admin’s or a Manager’s job; see Why does it say admins and managers approve connections?

Note An app connected through Zapier or the developer API can add subscribers to a segment — a saved group of subscribers. Adding someone to a segment can start an automation that watches it, the same as adding them in Jounce. See What a segment is.
