Why does it say this connection link is incomplete?

Short answer

The connect screen opened without the details it needs from the app, usually because the link was pasted, bookmarked, or reopened. Nothing was connected, so start the connection again from the app or AI tool and it brings you back.

The app builds a one-time link that carries what Jounce needs to know: which app is asking and where to send you back. A link opened any other way arrives without those details, and the screen says so: This connection link is incomplete. Start the connection again from the app, and it’ll bring you back here.

For an AI tool, the line reads from your AI tool in place of from the app.

Nothing was connected, and there is nothing to undo.

Why it happens

  • You pasted the address, opened a bookmark, or reopened the tab after the link had already been used.
  • Someone forwarded you the link instead of the app sending you.
  • The app isn’t one Jounce knows, or it asked for more than it is allowed to.

What to do

  1. Go back to the app that wanted to connect. In a Zap, that is the step where you pick your Jounce account. In an AI tool, add the connector again.
  2. Start the connection from there. The app sends you to Jounce with a fresh link.
  3. Sign in if Jounce asks. The screen titled ⟨app⟩ wants to connect to Jounce opens with its Allow button: Allow full access for an app, Allow read-only access for an AI tool. An Editor sees the line that says who can approve instead; see Why does it say admins and managers approve connections?

Jounce says Your account didn’t load

The link was fine, but Jounce couldn’t read your workspace at that moment. The screen says: Nothing was connected — reload and try again. Reload the page. If it comes back, start the connection again from the app.

An AI tool’s screen has no such message. If Jounce can’t read your workspace there, it says This connection link is incomplete instead. So reload the page first. If the line is still there, start again from your AI tool.

Jounce says Not connected

You chose Not now. Usually you go straight back to the app. If you don’t, you see Nothing changed in your account. An AI tool’s screen says Nothing was connected. Close the tab, or start again from the app or your AI tool whenever you’re ready.
